Static control material can have numerous names including ESD, an acronym for electrostatic discharge, antistatic, conductive, static dissipative or ionization equipment. The electronic, semiconductor, and aerospace industry have rigid specifications to ensure their products are not damaged by an ESD event. To meet the growing requirements of the critical aerospace and semiconductor applications, low outgassing material must be specified to prevent contamination in high vacuum environments. Careful emphasis was made to provide select clean room equipment and products that would be silicon free and non-outgassing. Working with manufacturers to eliminate silicon adhesives and epoxies, vinyl curtain cleanrooms were upgraded with an option of non-outgassing curtains.

Clean Room World is a Colorado-based, woman-owned small business, started in 1985 as a distributor of cleanroom equipment. It was quickly realized there was a growing requirement to offer cleanroom furniture, gowning room products, antistatic supplies and ionization equipment. In 1991 the company moved to accommodate a warehouse facility. Product emphasis was expanded to stock all of the cleanroom supplies and consumable products for a controlled environment. A single source for industry specific clean room supplies required in aerospace, by medical manufacturers, and in the pharmaceutical and electronics industries.
